Pakistan Test cricket captain Azhar Ali has expressed full confidence in the young fast bowlers and has declared his luck to Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi’s involvement in the team ahead of the series against England.
“Both young fast bowlers are very talented and they are benefiting from experienced bowlers like Sohail Khan and Muhammad Abbas,” the national test team captain said. “The vast experience of league spinner Yasser Shah is also proving useful for young players in the squad,” he said.
Commenting on the batsmen’s performance, Azhar Ali said that while batsmen sometimes do not run, all the batsmen in the squad appear to be batting with the best balance in the nets. Hopefully, their performance in the series against England will improve.
“Returning to the ground after the Coved19 was a challenge and fast bowlers had problems at the start of the camp, but management has done their job in a good way,” Azhar Ali said.
“The players are feeling better with the gradual return to cricket and slowly they are getting a little bit better in their game,” he said.
Pakistan has always performed well in England and is confident that the team will try to meet fans’ expectations in the series against England starting August 5.
